World Peace University announced that the Artificial Intelligence Research and Application Center has started its operations to carry out Artificial Intelligence studies, which is one of the most important technologies of today, and that a high-performance computer laboratory has been established to carry out high-quality academic studies.
Assoc. Dr. Boran Şekeroğlu and Asst. Assoc. Dr. It was stated that the aim of the center, which was established under the chairmanship of Selin Koçyiğit, is to carry out academic studies on subjects such as machine learning, computer vision, deep learning, swarm intelligence, and to transform these studies into applications that will be available to the public. For this purpose, it was noted that the laboratory, consisting of eight desktop computers, including computers with the most powerful graphics processors in the market, will produce scientific products that will benefit both the TRNC and the whole world, in line with the vision of the World Peace University.
World Peace University Deputy Rector Assoc. Dr. Behiye Çavuşoğlu noted that in order to contribute and pioneer developing artificial intelligence technologies, they launched the Artificial Intelligence Research and Application Center with a unique laboratory among TRNC universities. Stating that the work of the center and laboratory will make a difference in the near future and that the center will also contribute to open seminars and trainings, Çavuşoğlu added that they will also welcome external researchers.
