A cooperation protocol in education was signed between World Peace University (DBÜ), the newest educational institution of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and Bayrak Radio and Television Corporation (BRTK). DBU Rector Prof. Dr. With the protocol signed by Mustafa Sağsan and BRTK Director Meryem Özkurt, university students will be provided with internship and research opportunities in needed areas, while scholarship educational support will be provided to the staff of the institution.

Within the framework of the cooperation protocol in question, BRTK and DBU managers aim to encourage and develop relations between professional, administrative and other personnel and to make mutual contributions in line with opportunities. With the protocol, university students will also be provided with internship and research opportunities in areas of need, while the staff of the institution will be given scholarship opportunities of up to 100% in undergraduate and graduate programs. BRTK staff will also be able to benefit from foreign language training and personal development training with a 50% scholarship.

During the visit, DBU Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Sağsan stated that he was pleased to sign the protocol with Bayrak Radio and Television Corporation. Prof. Dr. In his speech, Mustafa Sağsan added how important it is to work together in collaborations beyond cooperation and coordination with DBU’s common harmonization feature, which is a requirement of being a fifth generation university.

Institution director Meryem Özkurt also emphasized that BRTK will continue its support to education. In his speech, Özkurt stated that this year is the sixtieth anniversary of BRTK, that it has aimed to contribute to all segments of society since its establishment, and how pleased they are to sign such a protocol with DBU and contribute to education.
